🥩 What is Sausage Guru?
Sausage Guru is a recipe management and batch scaling app for home and semi-pro sausage makers, smokers, and charcutiers. It lets you store your recipes, scale them to any batch size, and organize them by category (sausage, bacon, jerky, whole muscle, dry cured, BBQ, and more).
📱 What platforms does the app support?
Sausage Guru is currently in development and will be available on Android (Google Play) and iOS (Apple App Store). Sign up for our waitlist to be notified at launch.
📶 Does the app work without internet?
Yes! Sausage Guru is offline-first. All your recipes are stored locally on your device. You do not need an internet connection to use the app. Cloud sync is an optional feature for Cloud tier subscribers.
⚖️ How does the batch scaler work?
Simply enter the weight of meat you are working with (in kg or lbs) and the app automatically calculates all ingredient quantities for your batch. Ingredients can scale either by a direct ratio or by percent-of-meat weight, so your ratios are always precise.
💰 How much does the app cost?
Sausage Guru will be free to download with up to 2 recipes. A Pro tier with unlimited recipes and PDF export, and a Cloud tier with cross-device sync, are planned as in-app purchases. Pricing will be confirmed at launch. Join the waitlist for early-access pricing.
☁️ What is cloud sync?
Cloud sync (available in the Cloud tier) backs up your recipes to a secure server and keeps them in sync across all your devices. If you get a new phone or use a tablet in the smokehouse, all your recipes are right there.
📄 Can I print my recipes?
Yes — Pro and Cloud tier users can export any recipe as a PDF, including scaled quantities. Great for printing and posting in your workshop or sharing with friends.
🔒 Is my data private?
Absolutely. For Free and Pro users, all data stays on your device and never leaves it. Cloud tier users have their data encrypted and synced securely. We never sell your data or use your recipes for advertising. See our full Privacy Policy.
🍖 How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. You can cancel at any time through your device's subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
🗑️ How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from the Settings screen within the app. All your cloud data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Local data on your device can be removed by uninstalling the app.
