This Privacy Policy describes how Misha Enterprises Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our"), based in British Columbia, Canada, collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Sausage Guru mobile application ("App") and website at sausageguru.online ("Site").
By using the App or Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: If you sign up for the Cloud tier, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely via Supabase).
- Waitlist signup: If you join our email waitlist on our website, we collect your name and email address.
- App content: Recipes, ingredients, notes, and other data you create within the App are stored locally on your device. Cloud tier users have this data synced to our servers.
- Support communications: If you contact us at support@sausageguru.online, we retain the content of your messages.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- In-app purchases: Purchase transactions are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat may collect device identifiers and purchase history. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Crash and diagnostic data: We may collect crash logs to help fix bugs. This data does not include your recipe content.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect location data, contacts, photos (other than images you explicitly add to recipes), browsing history, or any other sensitive personal data.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the App and its features
- To sync your data across devices (Cloud tier only)
- To process in-app subscriptions and verify entitlements
- To notify you of app launch (waitlist) or important updates
- To respond to support requests
- To diagnose bugs and improve the App
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your recipe content for advertising purposes.
3. Data Storage and Security
For Free and Pro tier users, all recipe data is stored locally on your device and never leaves it. For Cloud tier users, data is stored on servers operated by Supabase, which are located in the United States. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text.
4. Third-Party Services
Our App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — Cloud database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
- RevenueCat — Subscription management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
- Apple App Store / Google Play — App distribution and in-app purchases
- FormSubmit — Waitlist form processing on our website
5. Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
6. Your Rights (Canadian Users — PIPEDA)
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing
- Request deletion of your account and associated data

7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law. If you delete your Cloud account, your synced data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
